about the artist
Jasmine Alexander is a self-taught contemporary artist known for her unconventional, fun, and fluid artworks. Her journey into the world of art was rekindled during her maternity leave, when she sought a creative outlet to balance the demands of single motherhood. This period of introspection and creativity led her to rediscover her passion for painting.
Inspired by emotions and intuition, Jasmine's work embodies a sense of freedom and spontaneity. Each piece is a reflection of her inner landscape, unrestricted by conventional techniques or rules. Her dedication to daily learning and exploration of new methods is evident in the evolving nature of her art.
Jasmine continues to push the boundaries of her own practice, constantly experimenting and embracing the unexpected in her creative process. Her art is a testament to the power of self-expression and the beauty of the uncharted artistic journey.
Jasmine currently creates from her home studio in Boorloo (Perth, Western Australia) where she lives with her young son, Bronson.
